The Platinum Plus package at Atmosphere Kanifushi makes this resort an affordable destination for families on a budget, as resorts in the Maldives go. The Platinum Plus Package includes meals, drinks, snacks, transfers and activities. Anyone who’s ever been to an island resort knows that those hidden extras can really add up, so this all-inclusive package is a great option. The resort has spacious over-water villas suitable for families and made of natural materials. They feature a whirlpool and a large, luxurious day bed.
The Kids Club is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. each day, with the longest kids’ club hours of any resort on the island. Children between age 4 and 11 can take part in activities that follow a different theme each day of the week. There’s pirate mask making, crafts, Maldivian traditional dance, a children’s sunset boat ride and cooking lessons. For teenagers and adults, there is a timetable of activities with aqua gym, volleyball, mocktail making lessons and coconut shows. The resort also offers diving and snorkeling trips, and special excursions such as a picnics on uninhabited islands, visits to a local community island or family sunset boat cruises.

We choose this resort on a friend’s recommendation.
We can honestly say that the care and service provided by Carlton and his team are second to none.
From the warm welcome to final departure Carlton his staff and our wonderful butler Ihgie were a delight, never intrusive but always available, happy and smiling.
If there were any problems or requests these were immediately dealt with.... if anything is needed just ask.
I loved the yoga in the mornings with Ajay on occasions having the session On a 121 basis, looking over the beautiful Indian Ocean at the spa.
We did the sunset fishing, snorkelling and sunset trips - all were fantastic from Snorkelling above sharks, catching a (really) big fish - but possibly the trip I will never forget is the sunset cruise ( and we didn’t even get a sunset ????) seeing literally 100’s of dolphins showing off doing back flips and escorting the boat was just a dream come true - and to think we nearly cancelled as we realised we wouldn’t get a sunset !
We had a junior suit for 5 nights and a sunset pool villa for our last 2 -This provided a wonderful mix, we did become more lazy in the pool villa which was just wonderful ( especially swimming late at night ) we would do this again ( staff moved all our luggage whilst we were at breakfast ) both rooms were luxurious and well appointed - when in a pool room you could have breakfast in the sunset a la carte however we preferred the spice for breakfast.
Food - we tried all the restaurants and have never had such fabulous food on holiday - don’t miss booking just veg - my meat eating hubby has placed this restaurant in his top 10 lifetime meals !
Teppanyaki is not included in AI but was so worth a visit - service, show and again amazing food. The spice is a buffet restaurant which we normally avoid BUT the quality of the food, ever changing options and lovely outside deck certainly didn’t disappoint. In fact we had to consciously not go there a couple of lunchtimes ( it’s great for breakfast lunch and evening ) so we didn’t fill ourselves up and ruin our evening meal ! - sunset has a really nice lunch option as well.
We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and had a meal on the beach at sunset on our last evening, truly a beautiful evening with wonderful food.
Lastly Ceylon bliss - we only managed to eat here once, great staff and position and again spicy but very tasty food. It’s only open 5-9 and we think it would be fabulous to open at lunch time for lighter options ( maybe just for healthy vegetable/fruit smoothies and light wraps or a salad ? ) the outlook/view is just fantastic.
Where ever you eat ask for the wine list a great selection of wines all included.
The island is long and narrow which for us was a plus - walk, hire bikes ( €1 a day going to charity ) or jump in a buggy, enjoy the views the beautiful beach the perfect food and the amazing hospitality - Do we recommend it ? I think so ????

We had a 2 week stay at the resort and have to say we were worried a little for our 5 and 6 year old children may get bored but i need not worry, the holiday was perfect in every way. The rooms are spotless and roomy and the staff are amazing they really are friendly and welcoming and could not do enough for you. The kids Club is fantastic and they really look after the kids and do allot of activities with them, the resort itself was amazing clean lovely sand and some days you feel like your on your own. Amazing holiday and we hope to return in the future.
