We stayed 4 nights here, two on either side of the Colca trek, making it our longest stay in any one hotel in Peru. This had everything we were looking for in a hotel - large rooms with a mammoth king size bed, excellent breakfast option, wonderful central location walking distance from all the main sights, courteous and diligent service (housekeeping, reception, breakfast) - at a price point that was fair. Our top recommendation for Peru!

When the stay is booked directly on their webpage, the pick-up at the airport is on the house; make sure to contact them at least 48h prior to arrival with flight details, so Señor Fernando can be there waiting for you! Taxi back costs 30-35 soles and can be arranged by reception.
The hotel is extremely central, two blocks away from both Plaza de Armas and the famous monastery, also surrounded by facilities of all kinds, like shops, banks, chemists', travel agencies and restaurants.
Reception is always most kind and attentive, always there for you. Feel free to have some coffee or coca tea any time.
At the moment Jerusalem Street is being repaired, which prevents the infuriating traffic noise all the time; nevertheless, always ask for a room facing indoors for more quietness.
Rooms are quite large with big beds, some even with an armchair and table, a suggestion of mine in some previous visit to make the room area cosier. It's time, however, that furniture gets changed, the signs of tiredness are more than visible.
The bathroom is long, water warms up quickly, amenities are of high quality, shower is powerful, toilet is silent; the only thing missing is a toilet brush!
Internet is excellent and reliable, it works in all areas of the hotel with the same code.
The terrace on the top floor offers amazing views over the city and is a perfect spot for relaxation, some reading and even some decent sunbathing.
Breakfast is simple and Karin does his best to have you attended the fastest way! Everything is fresh and well-presented, yet I keep missing some more regional items every day, more sweets (cake) and meat, which others have also mentioned here as a suggestion.
For preferred member, the minibar with soft drinks and beer is free during the stay but won't be refilled; all guests get bottled water every day free of charge, though.
The only suite can easily accommodate three people or a family.
I really cannot consider any other place to stay in Arequipa and recommend TV whole-heartedly!
