Overview

The warm and inviting Hotel Casona Colon Inn is located in the center of historical Puno. Spacious triple rooms can accommodate three adults and one child, and children under six stay free of charge. Each room at the hotel comes complete with private bathrooms, soaker tubs, flat screen televisions, satellite channels, minibars, writing desks, stereos and seating areas. The Sol Naciente Restaurant serves a delicious fusion of local and international delicacies. Kids will love the bicycle rentals, and a ride out to Lake Titicaca is highly recommended. There is also nightly karaoke, and a beautiful garden to relax in.

Ok for a night or two

A fairly basic hotel in a decent location. The reception areas are a bit nicer than the actual rooms which are a bit drab and dated. Fine for a night or two but probably wouldn’t want to stay for too long. Despite this the rooms are comfortable. The shower was fairly average. The annoying thing was the music being played in the corridors throughout the hotel which was the same song on repeat. This didn’t stop until about 10pm at night from what I remember. It was a bit irritating after a while. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was decent.

Good heating

We came here for one night as part of our Intrepid tour of Peru. They were kind enough to have a heater going to warm the room up which was much appreciated. The shower was lovely and warm. The beds were comfortable and the staff were super friendly. It is an older hotel but fine for one night.
