The Mirador del Titikaka boasts stunning views of Lake Titicaca and the hills of Peru. Rooms at the resort can sleep four guests and feature handcrafted furniture and floor to ceiling windows. Each room comes complete with private bathrooms, heating and writing desks. An onsite restaurant serves local and international dishes, with vegetarian options available. Guests can also opt to prepare their own meals using the BBQ facilities and artisan ovens. Kids will adore the friendly alpacas roaming the property, and the hiking trails in the area are spectacular. A visit to the floating islands of Lake Titicaca is also highly recommended.

The property is set on a hill overlooking the town of Puno, as well as lake titicaca. The rooms are what one would expect in a homely, small town B&B.
The property itself is a bit dated, and the rooms are on the smaller side, however the lobby area is magnificent with 180 degrees view of the lake.
The service very earnest and helpful. Cabs to the city were promptly arranged and any small requests were cheerfully met.
We had low expectations given that Puno is a small town, and is acknowledged to have a lower overall standard of accommodation.
However overall we did not think this was good value for the money we paid.

we had booked Sonesta de Posada but on learning that tea and coffee were not available in the room or lobby we switched to this hotel, which serves hot water for tea and coffee all day, plus breakfast at 6:30, which suits us. The food served is limited but on arrival at high altitude it’s best to eat light, plain food. Note that they don’t serve lunch. I only realized that at lunchtime (due probably to high altitude stupidity) so I was obliged to eat very lightly (nuts and crackers in my bag) as I only had energy to go to Sillustani, not Puno, which didn’t look attractive anyway, except at a distance viewed from the hotel. I appreciated Jorge’s friendliness and willingness to help with problems and to arrange taxis. That, and the quietness of the hotel, were the best features. It’s not a luxurious place, but perfectly adequate and fair value for money.
