Stayed in 4 different Intercontinental Hotels during October and November so had the opportunity to compare these. The Tokyo Bay property is probably older than some of the others and has a more classic feel to it rather than the more modern feel at other sites.
Location is on the bay so some good views, externally this is mainly a business district so not lots of alternate dining options in easy walking distance. There is a monorail station on the doorstep, also it is on the same site that many boat trips and ferries depart from. Definitely a quieter location than others.
Good sized room, lighting a bit dull and not enough sockets to plug devices in also only Japanese sockets where other hotels had other options to suit European standard. Free wifi very effective. Everything nice and clean but a bit dated.
Club room smallish but offers a good range of drinks and snacks also very good breakfast offerings. What I didn’t like is the club room turns into a bar later in the evening and you get charged entry, this is not good especially as I had already paid for club access. No problem paying for drinks outside of happy hour(s) but feel I paid twice for entry. Given there are no other bars open and nothing nearby this is not good. End result is unhappy customer after happy hour finished.
They run a free bus shuttle every hour to Shinagawa station which is great for train connections, also gets you to a more lively part of the city
Service good from all team members
I would stay again but if I had a choice I would go for ANA Intercontinental location
