Overview
by Amanda Norcross
The Grove Resort & Water Park Orlando features hundreds of suites; three swimming pools (one with a kids’ play area); a water park; several dining options, including a grab-and-go market; fitness center; and full-service spa. The resort is operated by Paramount Hospitality, which manages four other resorts in the Orlando area—Floridays Resort, The Point Hotel & Suites, Avanti Palms Resort and Avanti International Resort.
The hotel is located on 106 acres of land in Winter Garden—18 of which are Lake Austin, where guests can enjoy kayaking, and fishing. Just outside of Orlando, the hotel’s location is secluded and quiet. Many families may find the location especially nice after a not-so-secluded and loud day at the theme parks; other families (like us) may feel too far removed from the action. It’s all a matter of preference.
When it’s time to go to the theme parks, the resort provides a shuttle (included in a resort fee) to a Disney World Transportation Center, where you can then catch a bus to the parks. If you’re driving on your own, expect a 20-minute commute.
The resort’s suites are especially convenient for families, ranging from one to three bedrooms and offering fully equipped kitchens, washers and dryers and patios or balconies.

We stayed here three nights, following a cruise with the plans to go to Disney for 1 day and spend the first two relaxing and doing laundry.
4 of us, two adults a 5&6 year old.
We arrived at 11 and they were gracious enough to check us in the into a 3 bedroom instead of a 2.
The places are very new and clean. The furniture is stylish but on the low end of quality, including the beds and bedding.
Showers are nice and products too.
The toilet seat lids were very loose.
The laundry machines were good quality.
The lay out is very confusing and it is easy to get lost wandering the halls in this place. The halls and elevators are small and do not accommodate for a lot of travelers.
The pools are VERY nice and warm, which was nice because we could swim when it was cool.
The restaurants were good, not cheap, but not too bad. Lunch for the for of us was 60$ including a 13$ margarita.
Pizza was normal priced and nice to have on site.
The water park was a nice feature. The water is warm, EXCEPT THE KIDS AREA where is was extremely cold.
The water slides only operate one at a time, which is annoying because standing in line is cold. They also allowed a few kids to go and then the net staff said they couldn’t. Try explaining that to a 6 year old after he’s gone down and loved it.
The shuttle: we didn’t use it because they only drop off at the transportation center for Disney and The earliest was leaving at 9am. We wanted to be walking in the park at 9 when it opened. But an Uber/Lyft was 12-30$ depending on time.
Flip Flop family fun center: meh. 40$ spent in less than 30 minutes. The games were few and most were prize grabbers, which don’t usually grab much. But it was a neat evening.
Check out was great. We left I’m a rush and thankfully didn’t have to clean the place too to bottom.
I’d stay here again.

Hotel is brand new (2018) and rooms were spacious with all the amenities need for a 2 week trip to Orlando (Kitchen, bathrooms etc)
Grounds of the hotel were also great, with pools, Water Park, mini mart (expensive), lake and bars / restaurants.
The hotel is huge though and finding room / parking can be a challenge. Good location if going to Disney theme parks.
Rooms are NOT well sound proofed so very noisey with families going to and from theme parks.
The Staff were the pits. Rude, unhelpful and absolutely no customer service skills – we had multiple issue with booking that we had to escalate to management – this really took away from the hotel and the holiday.
