Country Inn & Suites Dearborn MI - A Nice Old Jalopy, But It Keeps Running

We were on our way home from Iceland, flying into ORD, and decided to check out the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn.

We grabbed a room at this Country Inn and Suites, it was close, it was affordable, and had a couple daily shuttles to the Henry Ford Museum, and to the airport.

The hotel is in a good spot, and the layout is comfortable, it just needs a major face lift....Room was good, AC did not work well/noisy..

The young lady who checked us in was great, very sociable, very informed, very nice to check on local venues with.

You could do much worse, and the hotel location/shuttle service add quite a bit to the package.

I left a note on my reservation when I made it to please put 2 extra pillows on each bed (for a total of 4 extra pillows) and extra towels in the room as well. When I got there to check in they said they weren't allowed to give me that many pillows. Even though when they messaged me back in the initial message they said it wouldn't be a problem. Also there were only the regular amount of towels. I paid over $300 for this room for pretty much 2 full days. Not only that I specifically booked at this hotel because it had a pool. The pool was freezing cold. You'd figure if it's not only an indoor pool but it'll also cold out now they'd have it warmed up a bit but they didn't. I could only get into the pool once and I got in and right out due to the temperature. I would hope that they take this into consideration and do something about that. Had I known all this was going to happen I would've stayed at the Holiday inn Express for the price I paid here and been a bit happier. Aside from that the staff was ok and the breakfast was the best part. Also an easy location and easy to get to.
