My husband and I spent one night at this hotel in early September. We rented a king suite and were very impressed with how well appointed it was. It had a kitchenette with counter space which came in handy for washing our travel mugs. The bed was very comfortable and they offer feather pillows! I was blown away by the quality of the products provided in the shower as they were JR Watkins fragrance free shampoo, conditioner and body wash! I used the fitness center and can attest that the treadmill works, but desperately needs maintenance. The breakfast was fair and I was excited to see boiled eggs, however they ended up being rubbery and tasteless. They have a pancake machine which produces two pancakes with a press of a button and they also offer other standard breakfast fare. The free WiFi was fast and reliable. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and I recommend this hotel to anyone traveling through Glendive MT.

We came to Glendive to drop off a college student and was told to book Holiday Inn and ask for pricing related to the college. The hotel was very nice, friendly and clean. Well taken care of and definitely a nice stay. Not one complaint from our visit.

But I felt the pricing was a little inflated and then brought back to normal for our "discount". Looking online for other weekends the pricing was at or below what we paid but the "regular" pricing quoted to me over the phone was 50% higher and looking out over several weekends the pricing was never as high as the regular price, and some were even lower than our discounted rate. From my point of view it felt like that this particular weekend was inflated and we were charged normal pricing.

Now the hotel was really nice and not overpriced by any means, but patronizing me by saying we are getting a discount when we are really just not getting gouged rubs me wrong.

I wouldn't call this dishonest as it is more marketing. But a little more transparency would be nice. As I mentioned, I saw cheaper pricing online if we joined the members club, which I was never offered that when I called. I could have gotten cheaper pricing by signing up for an IHG rewards member and booking online. I didn't have to stay here and being "referred", which practically guarantees a stay, they should offer better deals. If I stay again coming to visit my college student, I will definitely book online so I can compare to the other hotels.
