This is a year-round ranch that focuses on all types of Western outdoor sport such as fishing, hunting and more. The High Lonesome Ranch is made up of modern wood buildings and converted historic homestead and located 9.6 miles from the town of De Beque and 41.9 miles from Grand Junction Regional Airport. Families can choose from five different-sized cabins that all have upscale rustic decor, kitchens and bathrooms. Some have Wi-Fi, flat-screen satellite TVs and DVD players.
When it comes to meals, no one will ever go hungry at the ranch. The chef-prepared meals use local produce and are served in a modern-rustic dining room. Family activities include horseback-riding, fly-fishing and hunting. There’s an outdoor supplies shop, and massages are offered for an additional fee.
The ranch really prides itself on wild nature of the area as the size and scope of the ranch offer so many possibilities such as fly-fishing for five species of trout, wing shooting for upland game birds in pristine coverts, dude ranch weeks where families and friends can participate in real cattle drives, glamorous camping in safari-style tents, family reunions, weddings, corporate group retreats, big game hunting and much, much more.
