What was John Willard Marriott thinking? Average hotel on a good location w disappointing management.

by bobrusa

Went there to scout the property for a conference.. one would think that with a potential spend of over half a million you would get some attention... but NO!

Wrote to Ms Lidianne, who seems to answer queries on TA... did not get ONE response back from her... Pl do not bother responding, now.

Then, when I found out and emailed their GM, Ms Rosana... Did not get ONE response from her either.

What is worse, even after going there and telling them that I'm there to scout the property for a conference and ASKING if someone would show it to me, they did not bother.

It is understandable that they would get business under ANY condition, because of the location right in front of the beach. Perhaps that arrogance has creeped into their GM and staff.

Rooms are quite dingy.

There are many hotel chains, including some American hotel chains within walking distance, right on the beach, that could possibly work...

Rio the city of beaches

What is better than waking up in the morning overlooking the Copacabana Beach. The view is serene. The hotel staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed. The breakfast is good. You should ask for a beach view room otherwise you will miss the fun.
