We chose Stanford Suites on it’s location and a few reviews. It’s a boutique 30 room hotel. The rooms are tasteful and spacious, we ordered a King Bed but their idea of King is obviously different to ours because it was small. We were taken to our room, whoops it’s already occupied, back to reception. Given another room 6th floor. Room itself was okay, small kitchen, no utensils, lounge area, bathroom and separate bedroom. Bedroom was double glazed but OH the Traffic NOISE was unbearable. Complained to Manager/owner Veronica and eventually moved to 8th floor great room no kitchen but had a spa bath and separate toilet & shower. Also larger bed. Two nights in this room were still a little noisy ( traffic is heavy) but better than the room on 6. Went off for a week on Galapagos then back for 1 night. This time straight into a room on 7. Matched the one on 6 but was a little quieter than 6. Overall the hotel is nice, the rooms nice but if noise is a problem then don’t stay here. Our only other problem was language, unfortunately our Spanish is very limited and the only person who spoke any English was Veronica who wasn’t always around. The staff tried and were nice but the language was difficult.

Great staff, helpful and friendly. Spacious rooms, amazing views and in walking distance to a central hub and big park. perfect location. I could not recommend Stanford Suites enough, a great place to stay if you are spending awhile in Quito, or just passing through.
