Overview

The family-owned Anchorage Hotel and Dive Center is situated on a beautiful stretch of a Caribbean beach. Whether guests want to lounge around the pool and take in the sweeping views of the turquoise Caribbean Sea, or embark on an underwater adventure, this resort will not disappoint. The full service Full PADI Dive Centre offers SCUBA diving, dive courses, snorkeling, boat charters and pleasure cruises. Families can also book dolphin and whale watching cruises. After a long day on, or under, the water, visitors will appreciate the comfortable, spacious rooms that accommodate five guests. The Latitude Restaurant serves three meals a day.

Right on the water

My sister and I stayed here in May, this was our first visit to the island of Dominica and although the hotel is a little dated and the food is not that good (except breakfast which was always really good), the staff are fabulous. Everyone is very friendly and accomodating, the room was clean and the view is spectacular. Dominicans love their island and rightly so. When you visit ask, for Frank Edwards, tour guide extraodinaire. He was amazing and took us to so many places and was always helpful and attentive and full of information, he got us local beverages to sample, pointed out the different fruits and vegetation - Frank goes above and beyond every time.
