Overview

This surprisingly comfortable budget hotel has a great location only a few miles from downtown Corpus Christi and the popular North Beach area. You get a lot of bang for your buck with their standard rooms, which include two queen beds and space for a crib or rollaway. They also have suites with king beds, a sleeper sofa, and a Jacuzzi tub. You get the usual mini-fridge, microwave, and coffee maker, plus a generous free continental breakfast. Kids will love splashing around in the small outdoor pool and hot tub at the end of the day. Other amenities include free Wi-Fi, fitness center, and laundry service.
The Econo Lodge is located right off the interstate as it approaches the main downtown district. The area right around the hotel is mostly industrial, but there are a few fast food restaurants. In mere minutes, however, you can be exploring downtown Corpus Christi’s mix of shops, restaurants, and museums. Stroll along the waterfront to McGee Beach, a local city-owned stretch of sand along the bay. Drive across the Harbor Bridge to North Beach, where you can visit the Texas State Aquarium and the USS Lexington, a historic WWII-era aircraft carrier. On hot summer days, spend a few hours playing in Hurricane Alley Water Park if the gentle waves of the bay aren’t enough action for your family. With its budget rates and convenient location near downtown, the Econo Lodge is an affordable option for a memorable family vacation in Corpus Christi.

This was an excellent place to stay. I used this as an extended stay hotel, and always felt safe. The staff was very friendly and made me feel like a valued customer. There were lots of electrical outlets available throughout the room - so many hotels only have a few and you have to search to find them. If I come back to this area, this is where I'd stay.

Stayed here for 1 night.
Not the hotel's fault but massive road works right outside leaving a real mess and lots of noise.
WiFi was not working at all.
Room (king suite) was fine.
Breakfast was fairly standard.
