This affordable all-suites hotel is a great fit for a family, with two plush queen beds and a pull-out sleeper sofa. The oversized rooms also contain a kitchenette with a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. Kids will love splashing in the 24-hour heated indoor pool and hot tub, while parents will appreciate the spacious fitness center. Comfort Suites serves a hearty free breakfast buffet featuring waffles, eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, pastries, cereal, yogurt, fruit, and more. Other amenities include free Wi-Fi and a laundry center.
The Comfort Suites South is located on the far southern edge of Amarillo, along Interstate 27, about 7 miles from the center of town. There are a variety of fast food and casual eateries along the freeway, and even more as you travel north. Take in a movie at the 16-screen movie theater across the street from your hotel. Or maybe you’ll just be too tired from a busy day of sightseeing. Amarillo is packed with family-friendly attractions like the Amarillo Zoo, Texas Air and Space Museum, and Wonderland Amusement Park, all a few minutes’ drive away. West of town is the iconic Cadillac Ranch art installation, while southeast of town is the breathtaking Palo Duro Canyon State Park, the second largest canyon in the country right after that “grand” one. With its roomy suites, quiet location, and hearty breakfast, the Comfort Suites is a great choice for your family vacation in Amarillo.

We arrived late but the checkin went smooth and the room was clean. Unfortunately we had some plumbing problems in morning but the front desk help was too busy outside smoking to be available. In general, we just didn’t fill welcome there. If we make it through Amarillo again we will try a different hotel.
