This newer hotel on the south end of town is in a great location just off the interstate. Holiday Inn Express is well known for their family-friendly accommodations, and this one is no different. Their spacious suites include two comfy queen beds, a full sleeper sofa in a separate sitting room, and a small kitchenette with mini-fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. The heated indoor pool will be a hit with the kids, while the adjacent hot tub will be a welcome sight for parents. Other amenities include free Wi-Fi, a fitness center, and a delicious free hot breakfast.

The Holiday Inn Express is located five miles south of the Brazos River, near the Central Texas Marketplace, a brand new shopping center that’s home to a wide variety of restaurants and stores. You’re not far from any of Waco’s most popular attractions. Kids will love the Waco Mammoth National Monument, where dozens of mammoth and sabertooth tiger fossils are on display. Stroll along the riverside through Cameron Park into downtown Waco, where you can visit the Dr. Pepper Museum, the century-old Waco Suspension Bridge, and the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame. Enjoyable

The hotel was about a 15 minute drive from the River Brazos in central Waco. Our room was spacious and well prepared. Every part of the hotel looked well cared for. Breakfast was fresh and tasty. The staff were most helpful and efficient.

Excellent choice

I stayed here for one night. I was very happy that I did. The good experience started with the check in (with Michael) who was friendly, and helpful. The room was big and very well laid out with lots of amenities (fridge, microwave, coffee machine, iron - but no safe, as far as I remember). The room itself and the bathroom were very clean.
The hotel itself is fairly new and well kept.

As with other HIE, the breakfast was very good. I've read some complaints about the staffing. We experienced no problem. In fact, I found them to go beyond expectations. In particular, we were having issues with the printer in the business center. A number of employees tried helping, but were unable. However, the sales manager (sorry, don't remember her name) offered to print it out in her office. This was very much appreciated.

I would very gladly stay here again.
