This newer hotel features surprisingly spacious suites with two queen beds and a queen sleeper sofa in a separate sitting area. Book a connecting room and even the biggest family can be together in comfort. The small kitchenette comes with a mini-fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. Parents will also appreciate having two TVs to reduce bickering over nightly entertainment. Other amenities of the hotel include a heated indoor pool and hot tub, fitness center, and free Wi-Fi. The hotel serves up a free hot breakfast, including Texas-shaped waffles, fruit, pastries, eggs, and more. If you’re heading out early, reserve a “Grab-n-go” breakfast to take with you in the car.
The Fairfield Inn is located a few miles from the airport, right off Interstate 40. The hotel shares a parking lot with Buffalo Wild Wings, a fun option for lunch or dinner, but there are several other restaurants a short drive away. Directly across from the Fairfield Inn is a Texas Travel Information Center, a great place to find information on Amarillo and the surrounding area. An easy half-mile walk down the road is the new Kwahadi Museum of the American Indian, which preserves the history of the native Plains and Pueblo peoples through awesome exhibits and displays. Throughout the summer, catch a ceremonial dance performance at the museum on most Friday and Saturday nights. For a unique dinner experience, the Big Texan Steak Ranch is about a mile from your hotel. Their 72-ounce steak challenge is not for the faint of heart. Other family-friendly attractions are mere minutes away, including Wonderland Amusement Park, the Amarillo Zoo, and a delightful children’s science museum. The Fairfield Inn & Suites, with its spacious rooms and free hot breakfast, is perfectly situated for your fun family vacation in Amarillo.

Stayed here late July. Comfortable room but I was irritated by their $10 parking fee! Who charges a parking fee at a hotel outside of town with more parking than anyone can use. I guess it is a way to make their internet fees look lower.

We stayed at the Fairfield Inn in Amarillo on our way from Laramie to Houston. This hotel was a huge disappointment. The hot water was not working so I had to take a cold shower. There were no tissues in the tissue box. The coffee at breakfast was just not good. When I let the front desk know about the water and tissues they were dismissive.
We were so pleased with the Fairfield Inn in Laramie with bottles of eater and warm cookies on arrival, so were really disappointed.
