Overview

Ideal for a family of 4 or 5, the new Courtyard Downtown offers a huge suite that features two queen beds in a separate bedroom, a sleeper sofa in the living room, and lots of space left over for a rollaway or crib. The streamlined kitchenette works well for light meal preparation, and includes a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and sink. Kids will love the large outdoor pool, while parents will enjoy relaxing in the adjacent hot tub or brushing up on their golf game on the hotel’s putting green. Other amenities include free wi-fi, fitness center, laundry service, and a coffee stand in the lobby. There’s no free breakfast at The Bistro, the hotel’s restaurant, but breakfast and dinner are available there at reasonable prices.
The 4-story hotel is located across from a new shopping center near the Texas Tech University football stadium. You’ll find a convenient pedestrian bridge next to the hotel allowing you to cross over the highway to access the stores and restaurants there. Just a few minutes down the road is the thriving downtown area, with its historic buildings, eclectic eateries, and premier museums. You can’t visit Lubbock without paying tribute to the legendary rocker, Buddy Holly, at the museum and visual arts center devoted to him. Don’t forget to pose the kids around his life-size statue outside the center. Other museums in town include the historic Silent Wings WWII Glider Museum, the National Ranching Heritage Center, and the kid-friendly Science Spectrum Museum. Looking for a little mindless fun, you’re also a few minutes’ drive from both a water park and an old-fashioned amusement park. With its wonderful location near downtown, onsite dining, and oversized suites, the Courtyard Downtown is a great choice for your family vacation to Lubbock.

Nice, clean and comfortable rooms, helpful staff, close to Texas Tech. Surprisingly good food in the bistro. The bistro is clean, open and comfortable. However our room was really near the interstate, noisy. And, the view of the houses across the street pretty much looked like the ghetto.

Located close to Texas tech university and the medical center downtown. Restaurants are a short Uber drive into downtown. Also about 15 minutes to the airport. The restaurant in the lobby opens at 6:30am for breakfast
