Overview

Located on Lexington Avenue, three blocks from Fifth Avenue and Rockefeller Center, this New York hotel houses an art gallery and includes a changing art exhibit in public areas. The Chrysler Building, Rockefeller Center, and Grand Central Terminal are a short walk away. It’s a family-owned boutique hotel boasting individually decorated rooms and suites, plus ongoing art exhibitions in the hotel’s public spaces.

Decorated guestrooms with refrigerators evoke a New England bed-and-breakfast. Guests can enjoy free Wi-Fi and complimentary access to a DVD library. Good value for money!

The rooms are clean and comfortable. Location is very good - just a few blocks away from Times square and that's enough to get away from the hassle.

Friendly staff and a nice rooftop bar!

Definitely worth the money.

Back again and better than before

They keep adding small touches that make it even better. I really like the new residence lounge on the Mezzanine level. I met with a friend there after a meeting and at 5:00 they had delicious snacks out. This is also where they moved the cereal and yogurt. And now there are also hot beverages available. After I checked out, but before an evening event I attended at the hotel I returned to this lounge and worked for several hours on my computer. There was a business man doing the same. It was a GREAT alternative to a coffee shop or other such place. I kept my luggage with me, too. I also liked the new bathroom in my room this time. Comfortable bed, nice hand-written note as a multi-time returning guest, along with bottled water.
I also love the fact that one of the women at the main desk greeting me has been there for 21 years and so it is truly like visiting old friends to stay at the Roger Smith.
