First of all thanks to Alexandra, Sebastian and Jan in making our 3 day stay wonderful.
We needed a hotel that had parking first of all and also wanted something with character. Hotel Laimer Hof fit the bill exactly. Getting there by car was a bit of a challenge due to all the construction. It's not far from the train station but the expansion of the tram system in the area made it interesting. There is a limited amount of parking at the hotel but there was an abundance of street parking so it was no big deal. The farthest we had to park was right across the street. Definitely an upscale neighborhood and we always felt safe. It is a bit a walk to the tram but it just allows you to enjoy the area even more. We were lucky that everyday was sunny.
The room was quite large. I booked a triple even though there were only 2 of us but honestly that worked out for the best. We simply used the extra bed for our suitcases. Temperature control was very easy since all the windows opened up to let fresh air in. Not sure if there was even AC but it did not matter at all. Bathroom was of good size. Shower was quite small but again not a big deal. Wifi was fast and free. There was a small fridge with beverages not included in the price of the hotel room and fortunately enough space for our water.
Breakfast was not included in the price but the room was quite inexpensive and the cost was very reasonable. All the typical offerings were available and made for a great start of the day.
The real selling point is the staff. Everyone was friendly and extremely helpful. Maps are available and they would spend the time going over how to get where we wanted to be that day. Restaurant recommendations were offered. There was a fair on the other side of Munich and Sebastian drew out exactly how to get there on the map. I have never been to a place that was so helpful.
Only downside which I was aware of ahead of time is the lack of an elevator. For us it was a non issue but could be for those how have difficulty negotiating stairs and suitcases. I bet though the staff would help those who needed help.
I can not recommend this place enough. I would only choose this hotel if I was ever back in Munich. Enjoy

Staying at the Laimer Hof Hotel capped off our amazing first experience of Germany. The accommodation was cosy, comfortable and clean. We had a beautiful corner room beneath the turret with views along the leafy streets. The autumn colours added to the charm of this beautiful neighbourhood. Alexandra and Sebastian were very welcoming, approachable and attentive and along with their diligent team of staff we felt like this was a home away from home. We recommend it without hesitation to anyone wanting an extra special experience of Munich.
