Overview
by Julie Bielenberg
The resort is located around Bora Bora’s lagoon and its outer beaches. The overwater bungalow suites are perched on stilts above the turquoise lagoon, and beachfront villa estates stretch along a semi-private beach. In total there are 85 overwater bungalow suites, 15 suites with plunge pools, seven beachfront villas and plenty of space for everyone. Standard in all accommodations are down pillows, hairdryer, complimentary Wi-Fi, refrigerated private bar, CD and DVD player, Satellite TV, iPod docking station, twice-daily housekeeping service, complimentary coffee and tea and complimentary snorkeling gear in all rooms.
Please note that there is a city tax on guestrooms that applies to children ages 12 and older (children under the age of 12 are exempt from the city tax). For the 5 to 12-year-olds, it gets exciting. There is an onsite program that creates memorable and educational experiences in a casual, fun environment. While the hub of activity is the Kids Club, also called the Tamarii Club, children quickly realize the entire resort is their playground. The experience begins at check-in, where children from 5 to 12 years of age receive a welcome package complete with a program of activities. The program, run by accredited instructors, offers a weekly schedule, with each day divided into activities including exercise, arts and crafts, water-based games and creative play. The majority of activities take place outdoors, with children returning to the Tamarii Club to cool off and enjoy snacks at the end of an action-packed day.
There are multiple onsite dining options in addition to an incredible amount of activity at your fingertips including waver runners, tennis, kayak and SUP, shark and bar ray feeding, windsurfing, Boules, beach volleyball and badminton, scuba diving and more.

After honeymooning in Bora Bora 25 years ago, we finally returned to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and the island is as magical as we remembered! Everything about the Four Seasons was perfection! The airport transfer on a beautiful boat, being greeted by name upon arrival, the check in process with complimentary croissants and fresh fruit, the personal service and attention to detail - it was exactly what you would expect and more. We stayed in a lagoon view bungalow for 8 nights and it was wonderful. The rooms are huge and newly furnished. We especially loved the large deck with lounge chairs and shaded seating area. We spent every morning on our deck enjoying our coffee with the wonderful breeze and stunning views of the turquoise water.
The food was very good in all of the restaurants, but the Sunset was our favorite and we ended up eating there several times. The service was 5 star and we were so well cared for! Sit at the bar over the water and enjoy the sunset. You'll feel like you're in a dream!
The pool and beach area are stunning and the service in both areas was also 5 star. We really enjoyed getting to know the servers and staff at the resort and everyone was genuinely kind and friendly at every encounter. We loved the staff at the breakfast restaurant too and looked forward to seeing them every morning. It was so hard to leave!
Tips: Use the app for everything! So easy to chat with the concierge and book reservations for dinner, request housekeeping and room service with the app.
Bring sunscreen and snacks for your bungalow. They provide power adapters, complimentary beach bag, flip flops, and robes. Water shoes and snorkeling gear can be picked up at activity hut and kept in your room. Bring floaties and they will blow them up for you.
Our favorite excursion was the 4 hour shark and ray snorkel trip with Coco! We went from 9:30-1:30 and made 4 stops. Saw the most beautiful fish, sharks and rays. Worth every penny! We also did the complimentary motu getaway with Manu and had the best time! We had 3 hours (9-12) so we went snorkeling and then relaxed and swam at the motu. Such a wonderful trip and the guides were really fun and interesting.
Other activities we did were the jet ski tour, couples massage and Polynesian dinner show. All were high quality experiences but the snorkeling was our favorite.
Mauruuru Four Seasons resort for a magical anniversary! We will be back!

The friendly staff, the amazing turquoise water, the wonderful food! This hotel has it all. When face down on massage table I was looking at glass floor watching beautiful fish swim in coral garden. After traveling the world for nearly 4 decades we finally made it to Bora Bora and can't believe we didn't get here before now. You hear people talk about paradise but this is the REAL paradise. We'll never forget swimming with the blacktip sharks and stingrays as long as we live, it was incredible. Thanks Steven and Timmy, our hilarious guides. No past or future vacation will ever top this I'm sure.
