We stopped at this hotel after a long drive at 11:30 pm. The room assigned was clean and comfortable. The fire alarm went off at 4:30 am and we were in the parking lot for over an hour. When checking out the front desk clerk made no mention of our evacuation. I asked if the hotel was going to provide some form of renumeration for our interrupted stay. The clerk said i’ll check with the manager - she returned saying there is nothing we can do. The manager never came to speak with me to explain or apologize. I wrote an email to the hotel manager asking for her to contact me. I received a call stating she was upset by my review and wanted to know what my issue was. I told her we paid $118.00for our stay and had approximately four hours of rest before we had to vacate. She said someone was smoking in the stairwell and that set off the alarm and that was not their fault. She also added we could have checked in at 3:00 pm. This hotel is located off I-95 and I expect many travelers stop late after a long drive to rest before continuing their trip. I also am surprised that smoking a cigarette in an outside stairwell would activate the fire alarm. I expect this happens often in hotel stairwells.
After a long conversation with an aggressive/defensive manager we ended our conversation with:
Question - What do you want?
Answer - Do what is fair.
I sent a second email thanking her for the call and assured her that any refund would be donated to St. Jude’s Hospital.
A week later and - NOTHING.
After leaving the hotel we drove to South Carolina and stayed at a Hampton Inn. The Hampton Inn was an excellent choice.

Our tour group stayed on a Sunday night. The hotel was very clean and all staff members were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were very clean and well stocked. I was impressed with the TV channel selection and WiFi is fast and stable. The breakfast was condensed but good selections with meats, gravy, biscuits, cereals, and apples for the fruit. The pancake making machine was down but plenty here to gave a good breakfast. Highly recommend this hotel.
