We stayed for an overnight stop on our way home from Arizona. We arrived around 5 pm; the other guests were gathered in the kitchen enjoying happy hour. Becky (I hope that was her name) gave us a tour of the building, explained the amenities (hot tub, Keurig coffee maker, cookie jar) and showed us our room. After bringing in our luggage we joined the others. Becky (?) was a great hostess, and we enjoyed chatting with our fellow guests. Local craft beer, margaritas and quesadillas were offered. I'm picky about my margaritas; I thought it was delicious. We went to town for dinner and then enjoyed soaking in the hot tub afterward. This place is immaculate! It is also very guest friendly: lights come on automatically in the hallway, towels and long, warm robes are hung in the room closet to use for the hot tub. With blackout curtains, a comfortable bed with a variety of pillows, and quiet surroundings, my husband and I slept very well. In the morning, we enjoyed the warmth of the gas fireplace, the hospitality of the hostess, and the excellent breakfast prepared by the chef. To start, you will be offered coffee, lattes, tea, or cappuccino. Then you can help yourself to yogurt, fruit, granola, and juice (the cranberry-pomegranate was so good). There were two served courses; the first was a chocolate-hazelnut biscotti served alongside a port poached pear with star anise. Yum. Then, a skillet of sauteed veggies in a delicious tomato sauce topped with 2 eggs. Oh! And after breakfast the hostess brought us a bag with 2 bottles of water and some cookies for our ride home!

Had a great time, found this place online and selected based on the reviews and we were not disappointed. The location is great, just a few minutes from downtown Durango and very peaceful and quiet. The breakfasts were amazing every day and something we looked forward to. The accommodations were perfect and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Highly recommend, we plan to return again.
