Perched high on a hill several miles from the entrance to Denali National Park, the Grande Denali Lodge has commanding views of the Nenana River and surrounding mountains. You can enjoy those views from your room, which will have two queen beds and room for a crib or rollaway, or from the expansive deck that wraps around the main lodge. There are also six secluded cabins available, if you’re looking for a bit more privacy. Amenities in both rooms and cabins include a microwave, refrigerator, coffeemaker, and free Wi-Fi. With its prime location above the Nenana River Canyon, you’ll be close to every activity that the area has to offer. The lodge offers regular free shuttles to the Denali National Park Visitor Center, where you can join ranger-led hikes and kids can sign up for the junior ranger program. Local tour companies will pick you up right at your hotel for a full day of exploration in the park. Popular excursions include a guided Jeep Safari, river rafting and a visit to a dog sled kennel.
