With “Christmas” in the name, it’s got to be special, and this farmhouse-turned-luxury resort doesn’t disappoint. On the outside, it’s all New England charm, with a white clapboard farmhouse built just after the Revolutionary War and a collection of quaint cottages throughout the grounds. Inside, however, the accommodations are the height of modern luxury, featuring gas fireplaces, Jacuzzi tubs, flat-screen TVs and deluxe kitchens.

The resort offers a bewildering range of accommodations, from double rooms in the main house named after Santa’s reindeer to freestanding cottages to studios in the barn built especially for families, with rustic lofts and room for up to eight people. The glassed-in pool and fitness building includes an indoor pool and hot tub, as well as a seasonal outdoor pool. The onsite restaurant features a more extensive-than-usual kids’ menu that includes schnitzel and steak, along with the usual chicken fingers and spaghetti and meatballs.
