Thanks for the heads up (not) less than one hour before check in (via email, which I don’t always check) that you couldn’t honor our reservation. Things happen. I found another place after I finally got a signal on my cell on our drive down from Denver.

However once I listened to the voice mail on our home phone once we got back, it was apparent that this issue was not just for that day but for more than a day ( which the people where we wound up staying told us about). And I know it’s an automatic system, but sending an email after you cancelled our reservation saying we would be charged a “no show “ fee didn’t make it better

The room was nicely redone and in back away from any highway noise. The breakfast was simple and sparse, but the kicker was the ineptitude of the front desk staff. I was double billed for a one night stay and contacted this establishment to get a refund for the overcharge. They couldn't find any record of double payment and did NOTHING! Shawna at the front desk couldn't even print out my receipt and had to email it to me later. I will steer away from this redone older property on any future trips to this area of Colorado because they can't even get the bill right.
