The Halcyon Heights Inn is a beautiful home in the rural hills above Homer. It’s the perfect location for a quiet, secluded Alaska experience. The home features several large rooms, but The Captain’s Quarters is ideal for a large family. It can sleep a family of five on a queen bed, twin bed and a full futon. It also includes a spacious living room, newly remodeled bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen, with refrigerator, microwave, oven, stovetop and dishwasher. Families will love stepping out the private entrance and into the Inn’s extensive gardens. Nearby is a large deck where you can relax in Adirondack chairs and take in the views of Kachemak Bay, the Homer Spit and Grewingk glacier across the water. Other amenities include free Wi-Fi and a huge home-cooked breakfast.
The Inn is 4 miles north of downtown Homer. It’s an easy drive into town to find shops, restaurants and art galleries. Kids will want to stop at the Alaska Islands and Ocean Visitor Center to learn about the area’s unique sea life before heading down a short trail to wetlands and tide pools near Bishop’s Beach. Another short walk and you’ll be at the Pratt Museum, which celebrates the history of Kachemak Bay with fun interactive exhibits. Later on, drive out on the Homer Spit for lunch by the busy small boat harbor. You can board a fishing charter to catch halibut or take a cruise across the bay to the scenic Grewingk Glacier Trail. The Inn offers a great deal on bear viewing flights, as well as a few other guided tour packages. For a peaceful place to stay with your family, the Halcyon Heights Inn should meet all your needs as you continue your Alaskan vacation in Homer.

We loved the hospitality here, and the decorbwas just to my suiting. Attention to every detail and we were well cared for and cozy for our stay. I loved the double shower heads in the bathroom for me and my partner. Also to note amazing movie selection.
The views out the windows are spectacular. Love this place and recommend a week or more if you have the time to truly enjoy it.

Everything you need for a fun stay plus gorgeous views and landscapes. Friendly hosts make this a must stay on your trip to Homer, AK. Hosts Juxia and Stephen are so very hospitable and informative about activities and places to see, and things to do in and around Homer. We had a separate entrance to our tastefully decorated suite which was roomy and had everything we needed.
