The Saguaro Lake Guest Ranch offers beautiful, secluded accommodations for an authentic vacation in the Southwest. The hotel provides just 20 cottages, all of which sleep up to four guests. Cottages with bunk beds are popular for families. The rooms don’t include much else, though; in fact, there are no TVs here, and Wi-Fi is limited. But that’s the charm of the property. You’ll be forced to get off Instagram and on to the picturesque Salt River, where kayaking, tubing and even horseback riding are available.
Boxed lunches and a sit-down dinner are available for a fee; breakfast is included in rates. Located in Mesa, Arizona, the hotel is convenient to nearby Phoenix and Scottsdale.

We stayed here at the end of October whilst visiting Phoenix from the UK and were the only visitors to the ranch that day! The staff were very warm and welcoming especially the chef Martin! He could not do enough for us, as we were on a different time zone we were desperate for breakfast at 6am but were aware the kitchen wouldn’t be open until 7am however when we turned up on the off chance at 6am he made us feel so welcome and came out with a beautifully prepared fruit salad and made us the tastiest omelette and potatoes I’ve ever tasted! A huge asset to the ranch! I can’t speak highly enough about the scenery of the area it is absolutely breathtaking, we took a guided horse ride through the area with the horse owners who were so friendly and knowledgeable we will always remember the experience the views from the top of the mountain were outstanding and the staff felt like family members, if you enjoy an escape from the big city in Arizona and want some true local kindness and hospitality definitely give this a try we loved it

My sister and I stayed only one night, but this is a beautiful place. The history combined with the incredible location at the foot of the Bulldog Cliffs make this a truly unique experience. Wonderful staff, great cowboy breakfast! Special thanks to GM Dale and our kayak pickup driver John. I hope to return soon!!
