Overview

The BEST WESTERN Tyrolean Lodge overlooks Bald Mountain in Idaho, and is surrounded by the beauty of Sawtooth National Forest. The exterior of the hotel is modeled after traditional Austrian architecture, another feature we love. Inside, families enjoy free breakfast and free Wi-Fi, as well as a fitness center. There’s also an outdoor swimming pool.
Cribs and rollaway beds are available, and mini-fridges, microwaves and coffeemakers are standard in all guestrooms. Each room has one king or two queen beds.
Check-in time is 3 p.m.; check-out is 11 a.m. Parking is free.

We keep coming back to The Tyrolean Lodge because we like the location, the relaxing lobby with its welcoming fireplace and game boards, the mountain view, easy parking, game room with ping pong, air hockey, and foosball tables, comfy pillows, and terrific breakfast. Their breakfast is absolutely amazing with a large selection of sweet and savory items. The rooms are not fancy or trendy and there is no elevator in this quaint and quirky property but it is an excellent value in this pricey tourist area. We have been lucky every time we have stayed and our fellow guests have been quiet and respectful of others.

This property was great, with an incredibly friendly staff and clean room.
The room itself wasn't overly huge, but had a fridge, flatscreen TV, wardrobe, comfortable bed, and plenty of plugs accessible from everywhere. The bathroom wasn't huge, either, but the shower was fantastic, as it was simply a step-in, tiled shower (no tub).
We walked into the center of town in less than 10 minutes, but note that one member of our group is a dog who likes to stop and sniff everything. Without a dog it would probably take 4-5 minutes.
Breakfast was a nice variety, which is fairly standard for a Best Western. But one notable area that stood out as exceptional was this hotel had very, VERY little in the way of disposable packaging in the breakfast room. The plates, silverware, mugs, glasses, etc., were all "real," as opposed to throwaway, and they had taken great measures to reduce waste by eliminating a lot of single-use packaging normally seen in these settings. It was very refreshing and I wish more hotels were as conscientious. Thank you to the individual(s) who initiated and implemented this.
Overall, we would definitely stay here again.
