Osprey Beach Hotel is the perfect place on the perfect island to get away from it all. If you are looking for a relaxing vacation where you can spend your days swimming in the clear water or lounging under an umbrella with your toes in the sand and fall asleep to the sound of the surf, Osprey Beach is where you want to be. If you are a thrill seeker or require five star amenities, then this might not be the place for you but then you probably wouldn't be in Grand Turk to begin with. (If you do want a more active vacation there are plenty of water activities and excursions that can be arranged right outside the hotel but you won't see any massive water parks.)
The rooms are just steps from the beach offering either a balcony or a covered porch. Lounge chairs are placed on the beach in the morning and you can sign out a beach towel and/or umbrella from the office for the day. (No need to wake up at dawn to "reserve" a chair as the beach is not at all crowded.) The onsite restaurant is open 7 days a week for 3 meals plus happy hour. Be sure to check it out on barbecue night! The people who work there are friendly but unobtrusive. (There was no DND sign available in the room but housekeeping did not come early so it wasn't an issue.)
As for the room, the walls were thin but the AC was loud (and worked well) so as long as it was running you didn't hear much else. Overall the rooms were typical of what I've seen in the Caribbean, a bit rustic. Bathroom was very small but clean and the closet had plenty of space. And if you have the need to connect, the wifi worked great.
I highly recommend the Osprey Beach Hotel and hope to be there again some day.
