Amidst the brightly colored buildings, you’ll find this resort with retro furnishings and Old Florida charm. Located on Manasota Key, between the Gulf of Mexico and Lemon Bay, this Englewood hotel features 80 rooms, from efficiencies to three-bedrooms, throughout five tropical areas.
If you’re looking for a quiet, seaside getaway, this is your oceanfront escape. Gulf waters are just outside your door and the sunsets are breathtaking. Stump Pass Beach State Park, restaurants and shopping are just a short drive away. You can kayak or launch a boat (the dock has room for 38 boats), go shelling or collect shark teeth. There are endless opportunities to catch sight of dolphins, manatees, turtles and beautiful birds, like Painted Bunting, Purple Martin and Osprey. Beachfront cabanas are available for plenty of R&R.
The beach, bay and boating are the primary reasons for visiting. Twenty golf courses are also located within 10 miles of the resort, for golfers of any skill level or budget. Water sports and pools provide plenty of fun in the sun. All rooms come with full kitchens and Wi-Fi.

I find the recent negative review unfortunate. I have been coming here once or twice a year for many years. What “amenities” would you want for the price?
You will not find a better price to have the gulf at your door. And the beauty of the sunsets and sunrise right across the street. It is truly Paradise. Don’t change a thing. I love the rustic atmosphere!

An old resort kept at minimum maintenance. No beach towels or chairs. At check out, you must clean any dishes used and put away and take the trash out. This is not a Timeshare we bought into but has that feel. When I reserved for the weekend I was not aware of this lack of a amenity. In fact, the amenities are minimal.
Pools are closed at dusk. However, they open whenever for the screaming children and slamming gates!! DO NOT get Room 105!!!!! At check-out I brought up the 7:30 am “wake up call” both mornings and the gals looked at each other and asked if the pools had an “Open” time. Apparently whenever screaming children want to wake up the resort is fine. I would strongly recommend the resort posts times whereas the pool is open. If a Gulf view is all you really desire, you’ll be fine here as the view is very nice. The resort itself is dated back into the 1970’s and no, it’s not a Designed Retro look... it’s just that old.
