Overview

Built as a mansion in the 1930s, this locally owned B&B motel offers families a more personalized “non-chain” experience. The property contains the main mansion, the B&B portion, and a U-shaped wing of adjoining motel rooms. These rooms have private baths, some only with showers, and TVs, and most rooms have fridges and microwaves. The bed and breakfast rooms in the main house feature unique antique furniture, and include a sit-down breakfast in the elegant café dining room. Families may want to ask about rooms next door to each other, depending on family size (most rooms come with two beds). Families can add breakfast to their reservation for $10 per person and enjoy an inclusive menu of fresh fruit, toast, scrambled eggs, potatoes and more in the dining room. The Lakelawn provides free Wi-Fi and parking, complimentary coffee and onsite dining in the café. Reservations are required for three-course dinners for a set price.

The Lakelawn is a gem! I’ve stayed here multiple times now, and I always look forward to it. Matthew is one of the kindest people you will ever meet, and the grounds are beautiful. Rooms are immaculate, with comfy beds. Close to everything. I highly recommend a stay here!!

Just 2kms from town center, a couple minutes from two great restaurants, this truly sparkling clean motel is a real find. The main house is the BnB part and is an old mansion, beautifully kept! The breakfast was served in the mansion dining room and was period decorated. Can’t beat the service, space or breakfast for the price.
