Five minutes from the Puerto Vallarta airport, the Melia Puerto Vallarta All Inclusive welcomes families to fill their vacation itinerary with as little or as much activity as they want. They can head to the zero-entry, lagoon-style swimming pool or two hot tubs, where they can soak up the sun. Or they can immerse themselves in some of the daily activities like dance classes, water sports, rock climbing, batting cages, tennis or golf. The Melia kids club offers babysitting for children ages 4 months to 4 years, while kids age 5 to 11 can participate in arts and crafts, games and meet with The Flintstones, the property’s brand ambassadors. Of course, families can eat in four different restaurants, or they can head back to their rooms to rest.
Accommodations range from standard rooms to suites. Families especially will love Kids and Co. rooms and the Family Suites, both of which come with kid-friendly amenities like beach toys, a welcome gift for kids and a “Sweet Dreams” nightly amenity. Additional amenities include air conditioning, flat-screen TV, free Wi-Fi (two devices), digital safe, coffeemaker, mini-bar (refreshed daily), hairdryer and iron and ironing board. Not all guestrooms have the same amenities.

This was probably the best family vacation we have had, thanks to Meliá.
The poolside staff were extremely attentive and kind. My children always had a fresh drink waiting for them at the side of the pool.
The food was decent. About what you would expect for resort food. My only suggestion for improvement would be labeling dishes and foods as Gluten free/ vegan etc. I had a very hard time trying to find things to eat that I KNEW wouldn’t make me sick (celiac).
The rooms were fairly basic. Nothing fancy. But seemed clean. The only problem we had was that our room didn’t have a bathtub, which we needed for our 5 month old. The staff in the VIP lounge found us a baby bathtub and had it delivered to our room, which solved the problem.
The beds were decent. The pillows left something to be desired.
Overall, a great experience!

This very conveniently located resort is great example of cheaper is not always better. The food is cheap, the beds are uncomfortable, the rooms are filled with bugs and the water is dirty in the bathtub. For a couple more dollars I would strongly suggest other resorts nearby. One of the only positive experiences was the hotel common areas were very clean as well as their small but calm beach.
