We've been coming to Village Tan Kah for 20+ years. This really is an oasis hidden between two large hotels. Given that it is directly across from Scuba Shack, it is a perfect setup for divers. The only downside is the very poor internet service. We've complained over the years but nothing ever seems to improve. Depending on the day, hour, and phase of the moon (LOL!) you may be lucky and get a connection in your apartment. If not, you'll be sitting out in the commons area, and even then you're likely to get inconsistent reception. Here's the bottom line......come here for a great, relaxing environment, and don't bring any work with you which requires 21st century tech.

Just make sure you don't get the Jungle Room! The air conditioning doesn't work properly and when I talked to the staff about it before we went diving they said they'd take a look at it but it is still miserably hot in here! Doesn't look like it's gonna get fixed! ???????? We have four more days in this room....UGH!!! ????????
So it won't let me change my recommendation to NO....so I am editing my post! The air finally got fixed after having to post this on here. Now we have no hot water. One would think after being outside you'd want a cooler shower. Yes, I do agree, but a freezing one NOT IN THE LEAST! Now let's talk about the Aug bites I have no me AFTER waking up in bed! Then to the COLD shower to wash off the itch! ????????
The dive shop is close by which is the only reason we chose here. We only do two dives a day and they pick where we go and if you don't have three or more divers you don't dive! Paid all this money and we aren't diving?!
