The Aspen Inn is a charming motel with a cluster of adorable ‘A’ frame rooms, three of which are suited for families with a queen bed downstairs and two twin beds in the loft, all situated in a rural setting just 6 miles south of Crater Lake National Park. Located in the historic town of Fort Klamath, Oregon on the Volcanic Legacy Scenic Byway, The Aspen Inn is a sweet little place to stay during a family trip to Crater Lake. There’s also the 1,000-square-foot Wagon House featuring two bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a living room with juniper log picnic table and a pool table. One of the house’s bedrooms has two queens, the other has two double beds. There’s also a sleeper sofa, a private BBQ grill and private parking. No TV, but you’ll enjoy free (if not reliable – you are ‘in the wild’) Wi-Fi, a swingset for kids and complimentary hot coffee, tea, cocoa and cider.

We had an amazing experience here that started the minute we checked in. The hosts graciously greeted us and made us feel very welcome. They were genuinely happy to see us and offered to have coffee waiting for us at any time the next morning. The room was comfortable, well maintained and very clean. It is obvious that the hosts care about the property and pour their heart and soul into it. The bed was very comfortable and warm. coffee in the morning was hot and plentiful. We truly enjoyed our time staying here and will return in the future. Thank you for making us feel so welcomed and relaxed!

My wife and I were very comfortable in our 2-person A-Frame. It was clean, warm, and comfortable. We used the fridge and microwave to fend for ourselves after 2 full days of sightseeing and hiking. Heidi and Shannon are friendly hosts, and really have everything under control. The office has hot coffee ready in the morning, and snacks (ice cream) are available. The grounds were very well kept, and there was a nice playground - the site is both kid-friendly and dog-friendly. A great visit!
