Located just a 25-minute drive away from Crater Lake National Park, this two story hotel built in 1892, and once a stage coach stop, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. While the majority of the Prospect’s dated, but cozy rooms include only one bed, the Record Suite has two antique queen beds with handmade quilts, private bathroom and a sitting area. There are 14 motel room units also, and they are better suited for families and for those traveling with pets. The motel rooms feature TVs, coffeemakers, microwaves, refrigerators, full baths and bedding set-ups ranging from a single queen, two queens, one queen with a pair of twins, or two queens with two twins; there are kitchenettes available in some rooms.

We have just returned from the most memorable 3 days at the charming Prospect Hotel. We booked this location for its close proximity to Crater Lake as we brought our bikes to "Ride the Rim" at the National Park. We were greeted warmly and found our room to be impeccably maintained. We had booked one of their motel rooms, which provided easy access to bring in our bikes. The small refrigerator in our room worked so much better than those used in major hotel chains. The shower provided hot water almost instantly and a wonderful firm spray for our tired muscles. There were numerous places to sit both in and outside the large property; plus the wrap around porch seating beckoned a person to "set awhile". The Dining room was so inviting to walk into each day and all the meals were a "Fine Dining" experience and beyond delicious. The rib-eye was the best we've ever had at any restaurant. The Wait Staff was always attentive and engaging, even amidst a full dining room. The Prospect Hotel was a welcoming view when we returned from our adventures of the day. A Perfect three days!

We stumbled on to this B&B and motel while on our way from the Redwoods in CA to Crater Lake in OR. This was the only motel listed on the sign for Prospect and we had our doubts as we drove through the town of Prospect. Was pleasantly surprised to find this quaint B&B and motel. Being the last chance for lodging before Crater Lake we were happy they had vacancies and stayed in the motel. The room was very clean and had everything you could want in a motel. The motel sits on a 5 acre property with walking paths, pond and flowers. We saw a doe and two fawns in the yard as we walked around taking photos. There are horseshoe pits. There is a diner next door where we went for dinner. The B&B does offer dinner but we did not eat there. The owner of the inn is very helpful in giving directions to the nearby waterfalls. The owner is friendly and takes pride in the history of his inn. It was so nice to have a place that was clean, and well maintained with a great place to relax after a long day of traveling.
