Overview

This historic downtown Ketchikan hotel is close to the cruise ship docks, Creek Street and other tourist hotspots, including Ketchikan’s bustling downtown shopping district. Built in 1927, the boutique Gilmore Hotel is the oldest hotel in town and is on the National Historical Register. The hotel provides an old time feel while being beautifully restored and brought up to modern times for modern families. Each room has a flat-screen TV and the Wi-Fi is free. A free airport shuttle, military discount and complimentary freezer space for what you catch while fishing set the Gilmore apart from other downtown hotels.
Two rooms specifically are designed for family travel offering either two queens or a queen plus a twin bed, each with waterfront views of the Tongass Narrows. Onsite dining is also a plus, as Annabelle’s Restaurant is located inside The Gilmore Hotel, where you can dine on King Crab all year long.

Hotel has great location in downtown that is within walking distance of many attraction. Hotel staff were great. Rooms are ok but small with very load boiler heating system that pings all night long. It was ok value.

The walls are paper thin. You could hear phone conversations from neighboring guests. You could hear tv audio from two rooms over as apparently the front desk realizes the noise issue and tries to stagger guests.
