The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The beds were comfortable. The sheets and pillows were soft; aiding in a a perfect night's sleep. The breakfast boxes were fine. The first morning we received only one type of cheese, the second morning there was zero pieces of cheese. My sister had received two pieces of cheese in her box (a different room on a different floor) each morning. We received turn down service with chocolate the first night, but we did not the second night. My sister did receive it both nights.

We arrived not knowing that Le Germain was about to undergo a full refurbishment. The only way that affected our stay was that the restaurant was closed and the breakfast came in a generous cardboard box with a selection of fresh items on offer first in a conference room and then in the restaurant.
The rooms are large with a very dark brown decor. Combined with the lighting being designed for mood meant that sometimes the rooms could be a little dark. Plenty of storage space. Comfortable chairs and bed.
The bathroom was good although the window between it and the room was a bit of an odd design choice.
My only real complaint would be that our rooms were at the back of the hotel and close to an air conditioning unit which was quite loud sometimes making sleeping a bit difficult.
All the staff were very friendly and helpful through out the stay which makes this one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed at.
