The rooms were what you expect for the price. Bedding wasn’t the cleanest with obvious hair and dirt. Son woke up with 4 bites on his torso after one night stay. Looked for bed bugs as soon as we got there, there were none visable. We did have stink bugs in our room . I’m not certain what bit my son but something did. House keeping knocked on our door three times in 5 minutes asking if we needed more towels which I found odd and questionable of her real intentions. After falling asleep we were abruptly awaken at 1am by the manager unlocking our dead bolt and trying to enter our room with other guests. Thankfully the little chain stopped them from entering completely. No apologies when they realized it was an occupied room, just slammed the door shut. Would not recommend this hotel.

Was a Motel 6, now a Rodeway. Unfortunately I hit it when it was changing over August 24. No signage to find it. No phone service to call the property. No one at the front desk. Sign said return in 5 minutes or less. Waited over 25 minutes for someone to show up. Pool out of service. Room was ok but would not want to stay over 1 night. Bare bones everything. Maybe it will be better once the transition is complete but I wouldn't bet on it. Plenty of other options for lodging in Altoona. Try one of those instead.
