We arrived after midnight to a clerk who had never worked at the hotel before (it took him ages to check us in). There was no parking - we were told to park across the street. The air conditioning in the room wouldn't kick on - we had to call up the front desk guy, who had no idea how it worked. It was 77 degrees in the room and the windows didn't open It did eventually cool down but we never could master it and woke up the second day to 56 degrees...definitely not simple to use or intuitive. The next day the TV wouldn't work and we had to call up the front desk again. The worst was that on Saturday a.m. there was literally no water pressure - a trickle out of both the sink and the shower. We were told it was a "city problem" which was complete BS - we later discovered that when they are full and too many guests try and shower that this happens. Finally, the pool was closed - "sorry for the inconvenience".
This hotel was a disaster from beginning to end and does no favors to the Holiday Inn brand...avoid at all costs if you expect to take a shower, watch TV or have a comfortable temperature in your room - or park your car. All that for north of $200 a night...
