I don't expect much from a Days Inn even though a lick of paint could cure a lot. But I do expect cleanliness. From now on, now matter how late or tired I am after check in, I will give the room a thorough inspection before settling in.
While I did notice the weird and still wet stains on the couch, I very much regret I didn't notice the hair in the tub until the next door, or even more shockingly the blood splatter on the walls behind and beside the toilet and ON THE TOWELS until I was packing up to leave. I am still nauseated by this experience.
When reported to the front desk they could have cared less that there is blood all over their bathroom. I couldn't even eat there. I immediately left and showered at a Gold's gym. Don't stay here - if they can't care enough to clean BLOOD off the walls and towels do you think they clean the sheets? Breakfast area? Floors?
If you do stay, wear a biohazard suit. The cheap room isn't worth. Go stay at the Holiday Inn down the street instead.
