The Magnolia Hotel Dallas Park Cities is a new addition to the Dallas/SMU area. The boutique-style hotel offers both upscale rooms and extended stay suites with fully equipped kitchens and living areas. At a time when many hotels are cutting back on amenities, here, there is complimentary Wi-Fi, breakfast, evening receptions and bedtime cookies and milk. There’s also an indoor pool. You’ll appreciate the complimentary transportation service within a 3-mile radius of the hotel and also to Dallas Love Field Airport. You’re close to Victory Park and North Park Mall here, as well as Mockingbird Station with plenty of shopping, dining and entertainment. Ask for a refrigerator for your room if you haven’t booked a suite. There’s an onsite restaurant and room service.
Check-in is 3 p.m.; check-out is 11 a.m.

I booked this hotel well in advance and have stayed there many times when it was under different ownership/name. It is a great location and convenient to SMU campus and downtown Dallas.
The outside has been updated, but I have no idea about the rooms. I didn’t get that far.
I booked a room for last night DIRECTLY through their own website. Upon arrival a little before 10pm, the guest services person went to get her manager along with my ID and Credit card into an office.
Seems that even though I had a printout confirmation of my reservation, including an email from the hotel confirming my reservation, and another reminder on Monday about my Wednesday reservation, they did not have a room for me.
Perhaps old school booking by telephone is the ONLY way to get a room here. Pathetic that their OWN website does not secure a reservation.

Avoid this place at all costs. The smell in the hallways is overbearing, the sheets still had makeup on them from a previous guest. They let some people check in early while they tell others they can’t. This happened to me and it caused me to miss a great deal of my conference yet they let others in my conference check in early. I went for a conference here and I will never stay here ever again. Oh and they changed their name to the the Beeman Hotel from Magnolia Dallas Park Cities on 11/01 and I guess they forgot how to function properly. Lots of the front desk staff were rude and Sarah has no idea what she’s doing. Whoever they are just do yourself a favor and don’t stay here. They also mistakenly charged my card when my company was taking care of the reservation. I have been diligently trying to get this resolved because this is an error on their part and I just keep getting passed around. I’ve spoken to about 10 different people and no one can fix this for me. Terrible customer service, gross hotel, beds are rock hard.. the only redeemable part of the hotel are the shuttle drivers and shuttle service. Again, STAY AWAY.
