Overview

A luxury resort in the heart of Napa Valley’s wine country, the Silverado provides its own forms of relaxing and getting away with two golf courses, tennis court, hiking and biking trails, and a variety of dining, all on property. In the summer, kids can join the Kids Golf Tennis Swim Camp, a four-day program that encompasses all four activities. The resort’s pool features cabana rentals with shade, bottled water and fresh fruit for up to four people. Bikes are available to rent on an hourly basis to enjoy the 1,200-acre resort, and half- and full-day tours with picnic lunches can be arranged.
A choice of accommodation options is available, beginning with extraordinary rooms in the Mansion. Considered the resort’s basic room option, the rooms are anything but basic. A kitchenette featuring stainless steel mini-fridge, microwave stovetop and coffee maker showcases the details the resort goes in pleasing its guests. These rooms, however, only sleep two. The resort’s Cottages and Grove accommodations are even more luxurious and larger in size, but also only sleep twp. For families, Oak Creek East is the only option to stay together. The two-bedroom suite for four and the three-bedroom suite for six are large accommodations with living, dining and kitchen space. Rollaway beds are available.
Dining on property includes the Silverado Market & Bakery, which is open from 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Pick up soups, sandwiches, baked goods, snacks, coffee and picnic items here, as well as foods to stock your kitchen or kitchenette. The Grill provides all-day restaurant dining. Breakfast is offered daily from 7 a.m., with lunch and dinner lasting through 9:30 p.m. A café at the resort spa is also available.

We were incredibly disappointed with the room quality at Silverado. We’re from the Bay Area and understand the prices in Napa, but each time we walked into our room we found ourselves saying “how does this cost $400?!” Dirty carpet, old bathroom, dim lighting, and we could hear everything in the room next to us.
If you stay here, go for the cottages as I heard they were more recently updated.

Dear Silverado,
I very highly recommend you replace your manager Tom. I have worked in Napa Valley and am a Bay Area Native. The draw of Silverado is that you don’t necessarily need a reservation and can bring a larger group, especially in November at the end of the day (and by larger group, I mean 12 people). Otherwise, why not frequent wineries that require reservations but have better quality wines?
That being said, I’ve brought groups to Silverado over the years and have had just the most wonderful experiences. The views, etc. So, when I had a friend visiting for her 30th birthday from DC who had never been to CA or Napa for that matter, I knew where to direct her.
However, Manager Tom has forever quelled any desire to go to or drink Silverado wines. He told us that they didn’t have room for a group of 12 (they clearly did), I asked if we could help by breaking up into groups of 2 and spreading our, he said no. I asked if we could just take a couple of photos in that case, since we had traveled all that way, and he said no.
I’ve worked at wineries in Napa Valley, and have never received such treatment. Silverado, you do yourself a disservice by employing such a dismissive and rude human being. Speaking as someone who has frequented Silverado and drank your wines many times. I will never do so again. And you can see from my profile that I have never left a negative review. This is my first one, and I do not do so lightly.
