Planning a trip to Silver Mountain in Idaho? Consider a stay at Silver Mountain Resort Lodging (Morning Star Lodge). The lodge, which offers condo-style accommodations, is located in the resort’s Gondola Village, with easy access to the slopes.
When you and the kids have had your fill for the day, retire to your condo and cook a meal in your fully equipped kitchen. Or, head to the rooftop hot tubs to warm up and soak your tired muscles. We guarantee the kids will only have one activity in mind, though: the indoor water park! Guests of Morning Star Lodge enjoy complimentary access to Silver Rapids, where you’ll find a lazy river, waterslides, kids’ areas and cabana rentals. There’s a FlowRider surf simulator, too! Oh, and did we mention it’s the largest water park in Idaho?
Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the resort.

Can't say enough good about the rooms here. Also, they have very safe bike storage. All the rooms have a little kitchenette with a bar and barstools. We had a party with about 10 people and we were all comfortable. Nice people.
We went to Noah's, a bar/restaurant on the property. We had the worse service ever. After we ordered our meals we saw countless people come in, eat and leave and we had no food. When we asked about it, Dave, the bartender and waiter said he couldn't do everything. It was a couple of hours before we had any food and most of the other patrons were long gone.

My wife was attending her high school reunion in Coeur d’Alene, but we decided to escape the tourist crowds and traffic in CdA proper, and head up to the nearby mountains, about 25-30 minutes away. Chose a condo at the Morning Star Lodge within the Silver Mountain Resort in Kellogg, and are very glad we did!!
The condo itself was gorgeous, with a great, fully equipped kitchen and all the amenities, plus very spacious dining table and living area (with a foldout couch for more sleeping capacity), washer and dryer, great bathroom with two sinks and tiled floors, and a terrific bedroom with its own TV separate from the one in the living area. The condo was so well constructed and laid out that I told my wife I could live there long term.
An outdoor balcony with a terrific view of the resort gondolas heading further up the mountain to the cafe at the top was right off the living area, and it had two chairs and a table for our morning espressos and muffins. The Morning Star Lodge is close to the base of the gondola and the resort’s Mountain Cafe, and we were almost mesmerized watching the gondolas each morning during our takeout breakfasts from the cafe. Great scenery and vistas, and crisp mountain air during our visit in early September.
Unfortunately, we did not have time to take the gondolas, or visit the adjoining water park, but the families we talked to were thrilled. I wish Kellogg and other towns in Idaho’s Silver Valley would do more to promote their silver heritage, but that is another story. Our stay was most memorable, and we plan to make this an annual getaway.
