Upon entering the hotel, it looked like a ghost town. Finally after 5 minutes, a women checked us in with no warm welcome whatsoever. Put in a room next to the lobby and restaurant and found out at 5am the following morning we were next door to the laundry room for the maids. The friendly guy at the restaurant/lounge made me a BLT which wasn’t on their limited menu, but was fast and tasty. Hubby liked his burger. Surprised the breakfast wasn’t included but no big deal if it had been edible, it wasn’t, so ended up at the IHOP across the street the next morning. After our excursions, we returned to our room to rest before my birthday dinner to find the maids had not come. After multiple inquiries, including the manager, Nick, we were told the maids priority was cleaning new arrivals first. (Way to take take of your existing guests) Again, our room wasn’t clean upon arrival. One women employee told my husband if we were not happy to leave which was the last straw. Canceled my birthday dinner reservations and left the next morning. Had a friendly spider visit me in the bathroom our last day which was par at this point, laughed about it and left it for the maids. Hotels are the first impression of a new city. This hotel is doing a great disservice to the City of Colorado Springs. I will never stay at a Marriott or affiliate in the future or go back to Colorado Springs simply because of this hotel. Obviously Elite Status means nothing to your corporation. On a positive note, the view from the parking lot is nice especially at night.
