Pluses:
The location is great. Very walkable to downtown. The staff are friendly and accommodating. I called ahead with a concern about noise given some of the reviews on this site and they upgraded me to a larger room where it would be quiet. The vibe inside the hotel is very friendly and welcoming. We stayed 4 nights and staff seemed to know us. Bed was comfortable and I liked the Aveda products.
Cons:
I found the room a bit dirty and worn. It could have used a good vacuuming in the corners and dusting. Saw lots of hair that did not belong to me and it was human vs animal. Housekeeping needs more than a swiffer to clean the room. I had to wipe down the bathroom counter top as there was crusty make up on the counter. I realize it’s a pet friendly hotel but these aren’t pet issues and my understanding is that they supposedly do a deep clean between guests. The water issue should have been handled more professionally. Notices should have been placed in the rooms along with bottled water. Staff miscommunicated when it was ok the drink the water.
The room price really varied during the weekend. At the lower rate I was willing to overlook some things, but for the higher rate, not again.
I probably would not stay here again.

We stayed at the hotel indigo in Asheville for a fun weekend 11/8/19-11/10/19. The problem started at check in when the computers were down. They came back up but they had such a backlog it took about 45 mins to check in. During our stay one of the 2 elevators was out of service for most of the day causing more delays. But the real kicker was the water issues they were having. Apparently the city was doing some work on the pipes which caused the water to be brown (pics below). I get that the hotel did not cause this problem, but when alerted to the brown stinky water coming out of our taps the response was “we’re sorry the city does it’s work at inconvenient times, come down to the front desk and we will give you a bottle of water”. That is unacceptable for a hotel at this price point.
