Overview

The Port-O-Call Hotel is located only a half-mile from the boardwalk in Ocean City, New Jersey, where you’ll find classic rides, fun games, and delicious food (funnel cake, anyone?). When you’re not at the boardwalk or beach — also just steps away — you can enjoy the hotel’s outdoor swimming pool, open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. seasonally. Note that there is no lifeguard on duty. There’s also a fitness center (for ages 18 and up), and in-room spa services are available for parents to enjoy.

All accommodations are equipped with kitchenettes and free Wi-Fi. Many rooms also have private balconies. Guestrooms with two queen beds (and the option to add a rollaway bed or crib) are available for families of four or five. Large families should upgrade to The Penthouse or Porthouse, both of which sleep eight guests. Turndown services with sweet treats for kids are included!

Arrived late at night after 11 hours of travel. Stephanie sorted out our room with great professionalism. She helped us pick out the perfect room. Her colleague Jim was also very helpful. Wonderful views. The hotel is first class.

Great 2 day stay - location can’t be beat

Hotel is right on the boardwalk and a 10 minute walk to all the shops and restaurants. At the same time, it is far enough north on the boardwalk to escape the madness and provide some peace. As with all boardwalk properties you are a 3 minute walk to the beach.

I would actually recommend the coastal rooms over the beachfront rooms as the coastals are cheaper and provide a view of the coast running north for quite a distance which for me seems more interesting than just staring at the ocean.

The hotel is more of a 3ish or 4ish star hotel, not luxury and there was a slight odor in our room probably because the hotel is quite old. Rooms are spacious and makes for a pleasant stay. We went in October so rooms were a very affordable 200 a night but I heard in peak season rates are around 400 a night, that seems like a lot for this caliber hotel. But going for a few nights off season seems like a great idea.
