Overview

This boutique hotel has a contemporary style with maritime touches. Families might want to stay in one of their suites (dubbed “sweets”) — numbers 4 and 5 will be your best bet, fitted with one king and one queen bed each, plus coffee, a wet bar, and a mini-fridge. Or, if you want to truly add luxury to your trip, opt for one of the spacious penthouses, which boast full kitchens, living and dining spaces, fireplaces, private decks or balconies, and plenty of sleeping room. Many units (but not all) feature views of the harbor as well, and some are pet-friendly. You’ll also enjoy luxury linens and natural bath products. There are plenty of restaurants near by for all three meals, and the hotel is close to Seattle, Vancouver, and Victoria if you want to day-trip off the island.

I stayed at the island inn for 5 nights for a group workshop. Everything was great. I had my small dog with me and all the staff were hands on loving with her. Maintenance, cleanliness, and anticipating and meeting guests’ needs and wants are the hallmark of this hotel.

I stayed here during a survival class in the islands and can’t say enough about the professionalism of the staff, their courtesy, and how they bend over backwards. And the views are amazing. There is no where else I’d ever stay on San Juan island!
