There was no hot water during our stay due to a "gas pipe leak that the city is still trying to fix." Highly unlikely since this has been mentioned in earlier reviews, which I failed to read until right before our stay.
Wi-Fi was nonexistent in our room (we were in the Red Room on the 4th floor.) The signal was only good in the main breakfast area.
They offered to hold our luggage after we checked out and turned in our keys and told us someone will be there to let us into the building to retrieve our stuff, which was awesome.... except when we went back (at the time we told him we would be there) no one answered either doors when we knocked, pressed the bell, or tried to call. Freaked out for about 15 minutes until he finally came waltzing around the corner.
The AC worked great though.

I read through over 200 reviews of this hotel so went in knowing what to expect. We were looking for a place that was within budget, had a private bath, in good location, that looked decent enough.
Our private bathroom did not have hot water (which they told us at check-in), so they gave us the option to go across the street to a shared bathroom with hot water. Cold water was unbearable so we did take up that option. Not sure why they'd have a room without hot water, but appreciated the option - while not the most ideal situation.
Our room was clean. However, the bed board was broken and so I slept in what felt like a sunken hole. When we inspected it the next morning, you could see there was a chair pad where the broken boards were to try and 'fix it'.
The service was very friendly. Complimentary breakfast was basic: included a coffee machine, toast, pastry, nutella, yogurt, butter. As other reviews mentioned, it is only open from 7:00 - 9:00 AM. However, we went down at 8:50 AM and just brought it up to our room which was no problem.
Overall, would likely never stay here again but was a decent option for our budget while in Venice. I'd just recommend reading the reviews to go into it knowing what you are paying for.
