If you desperately need to have a meal outside your resort in Punta Cana, go to one of Oscar de la Renta’s favorite joints, a seaside shack in El Cortecito called Captain Cook. The menu is on a chalkboard. Simply choose from the fresh fish, crab and lobster dishes, and your entree will come out grilled or doused in a yummy sauce.
