Located in Southern Belize, families will love being surround by the rainforest and Mayan Mountains. Kids can take a jungle farm tour where they can meet some animals. They can learn the history of chocolate in a class or go ziplining or fishing, all for a fee. The suites and villas are great for families, especially the three-bedroom Family Villa. The villa features two bathrooms, a full kitchen, large living room and two large, screened-in private porches. The onsite restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Complimentary Wi-Fi is also available.

The staff at Copal Tree treated each visitor with much care and attention. They were flexible regarding logistical arrangements during our stay, and made sure tours at the site were in order throughout.

My wife and I traveled to Copal Tree Lodge November 6-11, for a quick anniversary get away. We heard about Copal on a national morning news show and felt intrigued by the story. After reading reviews about the resort we decided to book one of the canopy suites. It was a great decision. The canopy suites are situated at the top of a hill and the 4 rooms have a private pool and palapa for exclusive use. The room was nice, clean and very comfortable. The wrap around deck was the best feature of the room and is where we spent a majority of our time at the resort. The views were incredible and the relaxation was awesome.
Our interaction with the Copal Tree Lodge staff couldn't have been better. It is obvious that they cultivate a sense of family among the employees and they all seem to care about each other as well as the guests. They learned and greeted us by name from day one and immediately responded to any and all of our requests. I can't say enough about how the staff made us feel important and welcome from the start of our stay until we loaded up to leave on our last day. We've traveled quite a bit and this is the first time that I can name more than one or two of staff that worked at a resort. So, I would like to thank Tim and Duckey at the bar for great drinks, Sheree and Mark for excellent dinner service, Waluco for hosting us and a fantastic rum distillery tour and Elan for educating us about the plants grown at the resort and the farms mission.
We will visit again!
